Why there are no statistics on this page

Many rescue websites lead with numbers: cats saved, dollars raised, lives changed. We have chosen not to publish figures we cannot substantiate on a public page. Invented or loosely estimated statistics are common in this sector, and they erode the trust that makes rescue work possible.

If you want specific information about our activity, contact us and ask. We would rather answer a direct question accurately than post a headline number.

Where support goes

Rescue costs are mostly medical and mostly unglamorous. In rough order of magnitude: spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, parasite treatment and testing, unexpected veterinary care for cats who arrive in poor condition, then food, litter, carriers, bedding and the fuel required to move all of it around a rural county.

Because we work through foster homes rather than a facility, we do not carry the fixed costs of a building. That keeps overhead low and means additional support translates fairly directly into additional capacity: another surgery scheduled, another foster home supplied, another cat helped.

What we can promise

• Cats in our care are seen by licensed veterinarians
• We describe cats honestly to potential adopters, including difficulties
• We do not take in more cats than we can properly care for
• We answer inquiries as volunteer capacity allows
• We tell people plainly when we cannot help

What we cannot promise

• Immediate response — we are not an emergency service
• Intake for any specific cat; capacity varies constantly
• Approval of any specific adoption or foster application
• Medical advice, diagnosis or treatment of any kind
• Trapping assistance or transport at short notice
• A published live list of available cats
